    Well obviously because it’s [CENSORED TO AVOID SPOILING THE PUZZLE] except that Americans won’t get that but then again who cares!
    However it might be because:
    it is a little over 2 thousand years since the first Christmas Day
    The great O antiphons herald the ending of Advent
    Santa has 8 reindeer on his sleigh
    Christmas is a recurring event and the repeated 3 echoes his favourite phrase ho, ho, ho.
